After nearly six months of closure, the fourth and final stage of Chiva-Som’s renovation programme is nearly complete and we are happy to share some renderings and descriptions of what to expect from the newly refreshed areas. This final chapter has seen improvements to the Health & Wellness area, Bathing Pavilion, Niranlada Medi-Spa, and the Taste of Siam restaurant.

Taste of Siam
The new design is going to make the seaside dining area more comfortable for our guests along with more seating offering views of the sea. The restaurant now features an indoor, air-conditioned seating area with glass doors and an extended roof to ensure guests can enjoy our wellness cuisine come rain or shine. The entire space has been reconfigured to accommodate additional tables seating up to 100 guests and an open-air kitchen has been added. Finally, the restaurant is going to serve both healthy Thai and international dishes for our guests to enjoy.

Spa & Water Therapy Suites
All have been be re-imagined with Chiva-Som’s new signature interiors: teak, natural stone, and bamboo complemented by a light colour palette of natural hues to create a contemporary, comfortable and calming environment. The Spa has also seen all of its treatment rooms undergo renovation.

Bathing Pavilion
Set around the beautifully calming indoor pool that is used both individually and for group sessions, it has been redesigned with entirely new materials and includes a sunbed area under a glass roof near the entrance. The hydrotherapy pool includes more functions and a greater variety of stimulating water jets for relaxation. The Kneipp therapy and cold plunge zone, which helps to prevent and treat acute and chronic conditions, retains its traditional charm as always. Finally, large expansions have been made to both the male and female locker rooms providing more area for our guests.

Niranlada Medi-Spa
Niranlada has evolved from its original, clinical design to become a warm, luxurious and relaxing oasis, and home to the very discreet facial analysis room, various treatment rooms and a make-up room for guests requiring a little extra pampering. New technology has also been added to the Medi-Spa for state-of-the-art, aesthetic rejuvenation.
This final renovation phase completes our resort refurbishment project and we look forward to welcoming guests again year-round, introducing a brand new era of wellness. Chiva-Som is going to reopen again on 15th October 2019.
