Prema Jo Yee Yung Fung
Prema's personal yoga journey started with chronic back pain from a sport injury in her mid-thirties; and that pain was further agitated by peri-menopause symptoms and work stresses in her forties. Today, in her early 50s, with regular practice of Yoga and Meditation, she's lost weight, gained physical strength and mobility, increased energy, and improved digestive health. Prema's unique teaching style is a combination of 20 years of working with international multi-disciplinary engineering teams, and trainings of traditional Yoga and Vedanta teachings in India.
Hormone Yoga is a holistic wellness approach that helps us to restore the natural balance of our hormones with gentle and restorative movements that match the natural rhythms of our body and mind. For a healthy individual, the hormones that regulate most bodily functions start to be out of balance after the age of 40 for men and 35 for women. A typical session will include dynamic warm-up movements, Chakra visualization, and Yoga Asanas that gently stimulate the endocrine system, as well as Yoga Nidra and Pranayama for re-balancing the nervous system and the free-flowing energy in the body and mind.
