Epigenetic Testing
Epigenetics is the study of how our genes, which are more less fixed, are expressed (“turned on”) over time. Whether genes are expressed or not affects how we age, how our bodies metabolise, and our susceptibility to certain diseases, psychological disorders, obesity and even addiction. Epigenetic testing is a snapshot of the current state of our health, and how environmental factors (the air we breathe, the water we drink, exposure to sunlight, pollution, noise, chemicals and heavy metals) and lifestyle factors (diet, sleep, exercise, stress, drinking and smoking) affect our gene expression.
Why Test?
Epigenetic testing measures the effects of your current lifestyle on your biological age, your immune functioning, and your susceptibility to diseases such as cancer and diabetes. By quantifying these, we can better personalise a wellness plan for you, as well as see how effective certain lifestyle changes are and finetune the approach.
The Testing Process
Our medical staff will take a blood sample from you, and this will be sent to our lab partners for testing. Results are returned within six weeks, and our resident Doctor will go through them with you, either in person at the resort, or online.
Terms & Conditions
Epigenetic testing is priced at THB 58,000++. To celebrate the launch of this new service, guests who book their test before 30th September 2024 will enjoy an introductory price of THB 50,000++. Guests booking a repeat test the next year will enjoy 10% savings. The test can then be taken up until 31st December 2025.
