After you arrive and when you have your consultation with your Health and Wellness Advisor, we can refine your retreat goals and treatment and activity plans so that you get exactly what you need out of your stay with us.

 

 

 

Your Retreat stay includes a retreat of your choice, your accommodation, three wellness cuisine meals per day, an in-room wellness minibar and a 4-piece daily laundry service. It includes your personal consultation with your Health and Wellness Advisor, a physical analysis and skin consultation; one daily treatment; group fitness and leisure activities throughout the day and unlimited use of the thermal suite facilities, gym and pools.

 

 

The price does not include transportation; however, we offer limousine transfer services which can be arranged upon request. Please let us know your travel details, and we will be happy to assist you with transportation options to and from the resort.

All reservations must be prepaid upon booking.

Chiva-Som Hua Hin offers over 200 activities and treatments. These range from massage and body treatments, energy and breathing, yoga, pilates and fitness as well as cultural activities and cooking classes, and more. We aim to maintain a peaceful, healthy atmosphere for our guests. Please kindly note the following:

  • Mobile phones, cameras and other electronic devices are not allowed in public areas.
  • Smoking is only permitted in designated areas.
  • Wine and champagne are served after 6 pm.
  • Outside guests, visitors and outside food and beverages are not permitted in the resort.
  • Guests at Chiva-Som Hua Hin must be 16 years old or over. Please consider our property Zulal by Chiva-Som, in Qatar, where we have a dedicated family wellness resort.

Yes, coming by yourself is an ideal way to fully immerse in your wellness journey. There are group classes and a shared dining table if you prefer to engage with others, as you wish. Our staff will ensure you are well taken care of.

For the most accurate and detailed information, please consult the Thai embassy or consulate website in your country or your travel agent. Generally, Thailand offers flexible visa-on-arrival options for many nationalities, facilitating convenient travel arrangements.

The weather in Hua Hin is relatively good all year round.

March – June is the warmest season, with some high humidity and average temperatures of 28-32 degrees Celsius, reaching as high as 37-38 deg C in April and May.

July – October is a more temperate season with occasional rain, warm and pleasant with cooler nights and average temperature of 28 degrees Celsius.

November – February is a cooler season with mild days and cool nights with an average temperature of 26 degrees Celsius.

Chiva-Som is an all-year-round destination due to its mild climate, sea breezes and the constant, perfect temperature of the sea.

Please note that pricing varies by time of year, with rates during the festive period around Christmas and New Year being slightly higher. We recommend booking in advance during these popular times to secure your preferred dates.

Yes, there is a three-night minimum stay, but we recommend that you consider a 7-night stay in order to break-in new habits and fully experience the benefits of your wellness journey.

Chiva-Som requires payment in advance. Visa, MasterCard, Amex, and UnionPay credit cards, are accepted for online payment, and bank transfer is also possible. Cryptocurrency is not accepted.

A stay at Chiva-Som Hua Hin is focused on improving aspects of your health and wellness, so room-only bookings are not available.

Guests 16 years and older are welcome. For younger guests please consider Zulal by Chiva-Som, in Qatar, where we have a dedicated family wellness property.

 

There are several world-class golf courses around Hua Hin and our fitness and physiotherapy teams can offer expert advice as coaches and for muscle form and strengthening. Our team can make all the arrangements for you.

Chiva-Som Hua Hin is located in the town of the same name, in Thailand, and our sister property, Zulal Wellness Resort by Chiva-Som, is in Qatar.

Yes, a variety of medical practitioners are available including medical doctors, nurses, naturopathic specialists, pharmacists, physiotherapists and traditional medicine practitioners.

The nearest international hospital is Bangkok Hua Hin Hospital which is about a 5-minute drive.

Your wellness experience starts with a consultation to assess your overall health and goals.

Other consultative services include Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) therapy, naturopathic consultation, and fertility consultation.  Online consultations are also available.

Additionally, our regular experts such as visiting practitioners also offer hands-on services that include consultations based on their specialties to serve your wellness goals.

We ask that you come with an open mind and an intention to improve your lifestyle. If you are able to, you will benefit further from cutting down on alcohol and caffeine before your visit.

Smart casual for evening meals and loose comfortable clothing, plus sun protection cream, hats and sunglasses. Sports attire for physical activities and the gym. We provide natural amenities in your room including shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and soap.

No specific tests are required before your arrival.  You may bring or send in advance any specific test results you would like to share with our Health and Wellness Advisors to review that would help us craft your treatment programme more precisely. Some blood tests, allergy tests and DNA tests can be conducted during your stay – however depending on the length of time it takes for the analysis to be completed the results may only be available after your departure – in which case we will arrange a video call to discuss the findings with you.

The reservations team can arrange a private limousine transfer from Bangkok, or you may choose to rent a car or taxi directly.

Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport is approximately 225 km and up to 3.5 hours from Chiva-Som depending on traffic.

Private jets or helicopter transfer is available to Hua Hin airport, which is a 15-min drive from the resort.

All guest rooms have air-conditioning, wi-fi, satellite TV, refrigerators, beverages and snacks, a hair dryer and yoga mats, robes, pyjamas and slippers.  Please refer to this link for further details.

All of our rooms offer either partial sea views, or garden views.

 

If you are a first-time guest, our Health and Wellness Advisors will schedule a consultation to tailor your wellness journey. Understanding our wide range of offerings and determining which treatments and activities are best suited for you is essential. For returning guests and those familiar with our services, pre-booking your treatments is possible – kindly advise reservations@chivasom.com of your preferences.

Wi-Fi is complimentary and available throughout most areas of the resort, however, please note that digital devices may only be used inside your guest room or at the library.  This is intended to encourage a full immersive digital detox and help you to focus on your wellness experience.

Classes start from 7:00 am daily together with the gymnasium; other wellness services are generally available from 8:00 am.

The resort has many steps and ramps, but in general the wellness areas and Ocean rooms are wheelchair accessible. Our team is happy to assist wherever needed.

Hua Hin has many attractions, including the local mangrove and adjacent temple which are the focus of the resort’s sustainability efforts. Our Guest Services team can arrange visits further afield.

In the interest of your well-being and all guests in-house, Chiva-Som does not permit the use of digital devices in the resort’s public areas, including mobile phones, cameras, tablets, computers, e-readers, etc. Digital devices are permitted for use in the library, the open lounge, and in the privacy of your room.

Certainly, however we encourage our guests to immerse themselves in the tranquility of the resort environment for the best wellness outcome.

We serve international and Thai wellness cuisine, focusing on fresh, healthy ingredients, beautifully presented. We cater for specific dietary requirements, and we create a nutrition plan for guests who have booked certain retreats such as weight management, detox and gut health. Three wellness meals per day are included in the price of your retreat.

We have two restaurants: Taste of Siam, which is located at the beach front and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, and The Emerald Room, which serves haute wellness cuisine.  Additionally, refreshments and afternoon tea are available from the open-air Orchid Lounge.

We serve various kinds of protein such as seafood, beef, lamb, chicken, as well as plant-based options like tofu and beans. Pork products are not served at Chiva-Som Hua Hin.

Wine and champagne are served after 6 pm.

Chiva-Som is a smoke-free resort. If you wish to smoke, please use the designated smoking area. Our Health and Wellness Advisors can assist if smoking cessation is your goal.
