Hua Hin Marathon 2023

The Preserve Hua Hin Group and Chiva-Som International Health Resort are pleased to announce this year’s Hua Hin Marathon. To be held on Sunday 11th June 2023, the event is a collaboration with the Hua Hin municipality, Prachuap Khiri Khan province and the Tourism Authority of Thailand, with over 3,000 runners expected to join the event.

The Hua Hin Marathon was launched to motivate the public to engage in physical fitness for health and longevity; to raise awareness of environmental and social sustainability; and to continue to preserve and develop Krailart Niwate, Hua Hin’s only urban mangroves, as an eco-spiritual tourism centre.

For this reason, races will start and finish at Krailart Niwate’s temple, Wat Khao Krailart, in Khao Takiab. Runners can choose to compete in one of four races: the marathon (42.195 km) starting at 3.00 am; the half-marathon (21 km) starting at 5.00 am; the mini-marathon (10.5 km) starting at 5.30 am; and the fun run (5 km) starting at 5.45 am. Each route will take in tourist attractions such as Hua Hin town, the Khao Tao reservoir and Hua Hin beach at sunrise.

During the marathon, Friends of Chiva-Som Sufiya Sufi and Tulyatep Uawithya will be seen running along the general public. Sufiya Sufi is a multi-Guinness World Record ultramarathon champion, while Tulyatep is one of Thailand’s leading triathletes. They represent the Friends of Chiva-Som campaign, a year-long effort to preserve and protect the natural environments of Chiva-Som Hua Hin and Zulal Wellness Resort by Chiva-Som in Qatar by promoting sustainable tourism and wellness practices around the world.
